Hi, I'm Patti. I have only been here for two weeks but I have been truly blessed by this God give opportunity to serve and spread His message of love and salvation. When God opened this door, I was surprised and very grateful. 2014 had been a very tough year for my family and I. Our daughter went home to be with the Lord in April and the rest of the year was a blur for me. This door opened almost exactly one year after her passing. God moves in mighty ways for His children. I am blessed every day to be able to come and share His love with those who need a word of encouragement, but most importantly, to know that God loves them and gave His Son for them. Again, I am very grateful and honored for this place in His Kingdom.
We are coming up on the anniversary of our first year in seeking grants for the ministry, and we have to praise God for what He has provided through this process! David's picture at the side is a great representation of the joy we posses for these blessings! Not only have we been blessed with three grants so far, He has opened doors for us to meet other organizations and ministries that are helping people throughout and beyond the counties we reach.
It has been a great honor to receive grants from the following foundations:
We are so very thankful to these grantors who have entrusted their seed to our ministry. We pray for blessings to multiply back to them in return for their blessings on us.
We are also so very thankful to the other ministries we have met, it has been a wonderful eye opening experience to see how God's hands are touching others in our communities through a number of ways. A wonderful showcase of these efforts was at the South Carolina Christian Foundation's grant recipient banquet where they showed video clips from each of the recipients explaining what they do. These are touching and beautiful examples of God's love flowing through the hearts and hands of the laborers He sends into the harvest. The other way we have been able to meet others who do charitable work in our communities is through the generous informative gatherings and training sessions put on by the different United Way offices. If you ever have the chance to attend or become part of either of these opportunities we encourage you to do so. What great organizations these are, and could use more fabulous volunteers and supporters like yourselves who through your support can help with the great work they do, which in turn benefits organizations like ours. Blessings to all those who lend a helping God-hand through prayer, financial, or in person support to these and other great organizations alike!
We ask as we move forward and advance in our seeking of funds for our part of the work for His Kingdom that you help support us in prayer and any other ways that the Lord brings to your heart, so that our efforts are sustained and able to grow and multiply to bring in more during this time of harvest!
Praise God for all He has done for the needy throughout Anderson, Greenville and Spartanburg and beyond through the ministry of From God to You and the partners that distribute the provision to those in need! A hug thank you to all those who contributed through prayer, thanksgiving, donations, volunteering, spreading the news and many others ways over the last year. Without so many hands working through this ministry we would not have reached so many people, and so many hearts.
We pray for the continued success of God's hand working in the lives of so many, and that He continues to work through us to bring more into His Kingdom. We are blessed to be a part of His great plan, and to be able to see it in action. May the Love of our Lord Jesus dwell in the hearts of all those involved and touched by this outreach. May the harvest grow to plentiful, and may our Heavenly Father be glorified in all we do.
The Greenville News visited our warehouse to see what we do and what we are about. They were pleasantly surprised to learn and see what we do here at From God to You, working alongside other organizations and groups to get provision out to those in need. Our Director, David Watt, gave a great summary of the real work we do through the ministry, through a box of food that acts as an open door into someone's heart.
Praise God for getting our name out into the community, we have already received a few phone calls from the article from people who need help. Read about how David compared how the ministry reaches hearts to cars...
Last night we enjoyed an evening of celebration as we joined a number of other ministries accepting grants from the South Carolina Christian Foundation. We are overjoyed as this is our first grant award, and we thank God for providing through the donors sowing into ours and others' ministries through SCCF. We are excited to be able to use these funds to purchase gospel materials to share with those we speak to about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
The evening was a night to remember, one that surpassed our expectations of what this celebration would look like. To be in a room full of ministries reaching so many people through so many channels directed by God Himself was exceptionally inspiring. To see and hear how God is moving in our community and to see the dedication of so many to do His will and work to reach all those possible, in every walk of life, at every age, and in all kinds of situations, was a blessing to see. We felt honored to be there, not to just accept the award, but to be a part of this celebration of amazing work of so many hands. The inspiration flowed not only from the stories and testimonies of the ministries but also from the business leaders who spoke from their hearts of their love for the Lord and how they are being used in His kingdom. The worship music was beautiful as everyone sang together as one, and the prayer over the ministries and our city was blessed and much appreciated.
We are so very thankful to the donors, to the South Carolina Christian Foundation for supporting us and the work the Lord has given us, but most importantly we are eternally grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for what He has done for us, from beginning of time, to the cross, to the grant, for every blessing He pours out daily, and for the work He will continue to do in and through each and every one of us. We praise Him for allowing us to partake in sowing and harvesting souls for His eternal glory.
Mark 4:20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.”
Praise the Lord for His math - we witnessed a great example yesterday of this kingdom principle. We had a record number of people come in for food, and handed out 21 boxes of food to needy households! That was in the morning... thus comes the calls in the afternoon where we were granted 22 pallets of donated food! That is a hundred times crop of what was sown! Praise the Lord for our Director, that he allowed the Lord to grab hold of his heart so many years ago, that he heard the Word and accepted it, that every day he shares it with countless numbers of people, and he is doing the Lord's work in producing a crop for the needy. He is so thankful for all of those who help support this ministry, through time, money and every other resource that is donated. Every resource, hand, sweat, tear, dollar, prayer and can of food that is donated through this ministry to those in need produces a multiplied crop for the kingdom!
Hi, I'm Meg, the new addition to the team here at From God to You. It's been a joy, honor and a blessing to join the ministry team. To see needs being met, have the opportunity to pray with those who come in, and to see souls saved is so exciting. May the Lord continue to allow us to bring Glory to His name in every encounter have here, bringing food in and sending it out.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lord will continue to do here on a daily basis. Since I joined in August we have seen many souls saved, received our first grant award, seen an explosion in provision of not only food but also clothing and household goods. We have had new volunteers the Lord has directed to come join in our efforts, and have had the privilege to minister to so many people when they come for food as well as during the weekly Bible studies. What great and mighty blessing the Lord continues to pour out through this ministry, and we pray that they not only continue but multiply as we seek to share the good news of Jesus through these means.
We can't praise the Lord enough for the abundance He pours out, and so thankful He has blessed us with this work to glorify His name. Through September of this year we have recorded the following exciting totals:
Praise the Lord!
